I was awarded my Shodan in the art of Judo in June 1997 by Sensei M. Ettaleb 5th Dan, this was followed by my Shodan in Jiu Jitsu in July of 2000 by Sensei Toure (Senegal) 6th Dan and President of the African Referee Commission, Sensei G.Gerard (France) ratified this promotion. I started my training in martial arts in 1983, starting with the arts of Judo and Aikido, but due to various commitments I had to break from training for some 5 years, however I was able to resume my Judo training in 1989. At this point I was asked to assist with the development of Jiu Jitsu in the south of Morocco. I gained my Nidan in both Judo and Jiu Jitsu and was named as a member of the National Technical Commission for Jiu Jitsu and I achieved my Sandan in this art in February 2005. I have organised several National and International events, the first International Seminar of Jiu Jitsu in Marrakech in November 2000 and the 3rd International Seminar of Jiu Jitsu also in Marrakech in July 2003 are just 2 of these events. I have also hosted 2 WEBBS International Seminars, both being resounding success. I was promoted to 4th Dan black belt in Jiu Jitsu by Soke Bryan Cheek 10th Dan in 2009 and awarded the title of Renshi! I an currently studying the art of Jukoshin ryu Jiu Jitsu and working hard to promote the World Elite Black Belt Society – WEBBS in Morocco.
